HEALTH FOR ALL COALITION EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ADDRESS HEALTH SECTOR COORDINATING COMMITTEE.
The executive director of Health For All Coalition Sierra Leone – Mr Charles Mambu has in a meeting addressed members of the Health Sector Coordinating Committee on National Health Submits and MoH vision for health service delivery in 2025.
The meeting which was held at the Ministry of Health conference hall Youyi Building gathered both local and international health experts to discuss the Ministry of Health’s vision for health service delivery in 2025 and its alignment with the A4s framework and life stages approach to development.
Addressing the audience, the Executive Director of Health For All Coalition Sierra Leone appreciated the Hon. Minister of Health-Austin Demby for his tremendous efforts to improving the health sector and to saving the lives of the ordinary Sierra Leonean citizens.
Director Mambu furthered that as a civil society activist and citizen of Sierra Leone, he is expecting the Ministry of Health to work on another 3As which includes- available healthcare service delivery, affordable healthcare service delivery and accessible healthcare service delivery in the country adding that these service deliveries should be timely and of great quality.
Speaking on the National Health Submits to be held on 15th, 16th and 17th May 2025, Director Mambu requested the head of the National Health Submit to give a presentation on the targets set during the last submit which could be used as determinant to stage the forth coming event.
The Executive Director of HFAC-SL stated that Sierra Leone and other countries in the world are worried over the withdrawal of the US government from the World Health Organization activities adding this decision has huge impact on global health security and cooperation, disease prevention, and the advancement of universal health coverage.
He requested the USAID representatives in Sierra Leone to narrate and give updates on the financing status of planned programs USAID is to support in Sierra Leone and further asked the World Health Organization (WHO) and China CDC to informed the audience on their plans of rolling out scheduled activities in an event the American government finally withdraw from all their activities.
Mr. Charles Mambu assured the Hon. Minister of Health and members of the Health Sector Coordinating Committee that the civil society will continue to support the Ministry of Health and to participant in health programs for the development of the country.
